  2. Specify the Surface Condition: Indicate whether the surface of the test specimen is smooth or rough. This information is used to apply the appropriate correction factor to the hardness conversion.
  3. Choose the Test Method: Select the hardness test method used to obtain the original hardness value. The tool supports Brinell, Vickers, and Rockwell test methods.
  4. Enter the Test Parameters: Provide the test load (in kgf) and the test temperature (in °C) used during the hardness measurement. These factors can impact the hardness value and are accounted for in the conversion process.
  5. Input the Hardness Value: Enter the original hardness value you need to convert. The tool can handle values ranging from 0 to 1000 in the selected hardness scale.
  6. Select the Input and Output Hardness Scales: Choose the hardness scale of the original value (input scale) and the scale you want to convert to (output scale). The available options include Brinell (HB), Vickers (HV), Rockwell (HR, HRB, HRC, etc.), and Tensile Strength (Rm).
  7. Choose the Unit System: Specify whether you want the input and output values to be displayed in the SI (metric) or Imperial unit system.
  8. Convert the Hardness: Click the “Convert Hardness” button to perform the conversion. The tool will calculate the equivalent hardness value in the selected output scale and unit system, taking into account the material, surface condition, and test parameters.
